Financial Stewardship
Ministries
We believe our
personal approach to stewardship is an
indication of what Christ really means to us.
Stewardship is a part of our everyday lifestyle.
How we manage our personal finances reflects
what is important to us and what we really value
in life (Matthew
6:21). God wants us to know our financial
status and have control over our cash flow (Proverbs
27:23-27). The responsibility for support of
the local church belongs to its members (1
Corinthians 16:2).
Some scriptural
guidelines for giving to the local church
include:
Proportionately (1
Corinthians 16:2) Firstly (Proverbs
3:9) Regularly (1
Corinthians 16:2) Willingly (
2 Corinthians 9:7) Cheerfully (
2 Corinthians 9:7) Wisely (Ephesians
5:15)
After you have given to the
local church, the leaders (elders) are
responsible for distribution of the finances and
caring for the needs and ministries of the
church. (Acts
4:35)
Tithes and offerings are one
way to express worship to the Lord. Once a month
in our corporate worship services, an offering
is taken. For all other giving, Offering boxes
are available in the foyer for your personal
worship and convenience.
The Financial
Stewardship Commission seeks to help church
families and the surrounding community develop
good stewardship skills through an educational
ministry, currently the Dave Ramsey curriculum
Financial Peace University. The 13 week course
is offered at least once a year.
