Do your best to present yourself to
God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed
and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2 Timothy

Back in 2002, DCS students performed "Anne of Green
Gables". This spring they return to the ever-popular
series based on the novels by L.M. Montgomery as
both high school and elementary DCS students bring
to life "Anne of Avonlea". This heartwarming and
humorously uplifting play continues the exciting
adventures of one of literature's most enduring
characters, Anne Shirley.
The show comes
under the direction of DCS graduate Krista Wierson.
Ms. Wierson is now a DCS teacher who enjoys teaching
drama, elementary science lab and directing the
fall and spring dramas productions.
“Anne
of Avonlea” follows on the heels of the fall comedy
"Our Miss Brooks" and last spring’s musical "Annie",
which entertained over 1,200 people. The talented
cast and crew are looking to bring superb performances
to the community yet again.
Performances
will take place at 7 pm on April 29th, 30th, and
May 1st, 6th-8th at Damascus Christian School located
at 14251 SE Rust Way in Damascus. There will also
be a Saturday matinee on May 1st at 2 pm. Doors
open 30 minutes before all shows. Thursday night
and Saturday matinee performances are "Family Priced"
at $6.00 per person. Tickets for Friday and Saturday
evening shows are $7.00 per person. All seating
is reserved.
