- Tuesday Morning-Precepts:
Understanding the Anger of God
A study of Micah, Nahum and Habakkuk.
Micah: In the midst of despair there is always
hope, because God is
the God of hope. In the midst of corruption, there
is always the
Word of the Lord, the message of truth, because
God is not silent.
Nahum: Can a nation forget God, act with great cruelty
against
another nation, and escape the judgment of God?
Habakkuk: The central truth of Habakkuk spurred
a reformation in a
troubled monk who hated the righteousness of a God
he could not
please. His name was Martin Luther. What will come
to pass in and
through your life as a result of studying truths
written nearly two and
a half millennia ago? Begins Sept. 16, 8:40–10:30
A.M. with Marilee at DCC.
Childcare provided. 503.658.3179. Cost: $11 for
workbook.
- Tuesday Morning: Breaking
Free.
Making Liberty in Christ a Reality in Life, leads
us through a study of
the Scriptures to discover the transforming power
of Christian
freedom. Based on Isaiah 61: 1-4, this in-depth
study draws parallels
between the captive Israelites and today’s believers.
Begins Sept. 16, 8:40–10:30 A.M. with Karen Lampinen
at DCC,
childcare provided. $16
- Friday Morning: The
Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer
Tozer’s life and ministry were characterized
by “a mighty longing
after God.” Studying The Pursuit of God can draw
us into a deep,
abiding relationship with the One who “nourishes
the soul.” This
spiritual masterpiece exposes the roadblocks that
keep us from fully
knowing God, reveals our responsibility in the pursuit,
and ultimately
leads us into the very presence of God Himself.
Begins Sept. 19, 9:00 A.M. at Lampinen’s.
Evenings
- Sunday Evening: Read
Through the Bible using The One Year

a reformation in a troubled monk named Martin Luther.
What will come to pass in and through your life

of God?

practical study on September 21.
- Monday Evening: The
Gospel of Mark: A Life-Changing Story.
A twelve week study from Life Lesson Series by
Max Lucado. You’ve
been asked some important questions, but the grandest
of them all is
an anthill compared to the Everest found in Mark.
“Who do you say
that I am?” Every calmed storm answer given and
parable taught is
a thundering reminder: “You are the Christ.” Mark,
the shortest and
simplest of the four gospels gives a look at the
life of Christ as a
Servant who constantly ministers to others.
Begins Sept. 15, 6:30 P.M. with Linda Reeves at
